Jessica Tan
Collection
In addition to my interest in designing women's ready to wear clothing, as a designer, I am also often drawn to activewear design. As such, I created a secondary capsule collection of size-inclusive activwear, which focuses on empowering and making the wearer feel confident.
Through this capsule, Flex, I strove to create a collection of clothes designed with a very human-centered approach. Following a series of interviews with various women, through this collection, I was determined to design a lineup of clothes that would perform well with the body, featuring adjustable ruched detailing as well as a variety of lengths and sizes, in order to cater to all.
Bio
Inspired by her multicultural upbringing having lived in Hong Kong, Australia, and the U.S, Jessica Tan is a womenswear designer whose mission is to design garments that empower the wearer. Moving to New York to pursue her passion, Tan graduated from Parsons School of Design in 2022, and was a recipient of the BFA Dean’s scholarship.
Upon successfully completing her internships at luxury brands, Proenza Schouler and Monse, Tan has honed her skills in design, developing an in depth understanding of the New York Fashion industry. Through her work, Tan emphasizes the role of refined tailoring, architectural influence, and clean lines, striving to inspire confidence in the people she dresses.
